Aayush Sharma Reflects on His 5-Year Journey in Bollywood: Struggles, Growth, and Ambitions

Bollywood actor Aayush Sharma, who made his debut with “Love Yatri” in October 2018, recently celebrated completing five years in the film industry. In a candid conversation, he opened up about his journey, struggles, and his determination to make a mark in Bollywood.

Aayush Sharma, despite hailing from a prominent film family, acknowledges that his journey in Bollywood hasn’t been a cakewalk. He stated, “I know I’m married into a film family, but that’s different. I saw the industry from the outside, and it looked very glamorous. I felt things would be easy after the launch. I believed that one movie would change my life. However, that was the biggest bubble that burst.”

The actor emphasized that while having a launch in Bollywood is advantageous, sustaining success in the industry requires consistent effort. He said, “Launch helps you, but then you have to prove yourself every Friday.”

Aayush Sharma is determined to carve his own niche in the industry and is in no hurry to rush things. He expressed his desire to take the time to learn, work, and prove that he is here to stay. He doesn’t mind staying away from the limelight temporarily, stating, “For me, working in a film is important. Besides that, I don’t find it necessary to be in the spotlight constantly. I think, just work is important today. And if you’re doing good work, the audiences will remember you.”

Known for his privacy, Sharma disclosed that he prefers to keep a low profile and avoids indulging in the paparazzi culture or constant posting on social media. He remarked, “I think the line between being an actor and being an influencer is getting blurred. This is something I personally don’t like. But if it works for other people, I don’t have an issue. As far as I am concerned, I think I am an actor, and that’s what I am going to do.”

Despite having only two films under his belt, Aayush Sharma expressed gratitude for his journey so far. However, he aspires to explore more experimental roles in the future. He revealed, “After ‘Love Yatri’ came out, I wanted to do an action film. But nobody would give me action scripts. I was stereotyped as a chocolate boy…a lover boy.” He even shared a humorous anecdote about attending a romantic film narration while wearing a vest to convince the same production house that he could excel in action-packed roles.

Aayush Sharma’s dedication to his craft and his willingness to break stereotypes show that he is determined to make a lasting impact in the world of Bollywood, one Friday at a time.
