PM Modi’s Stinging Critique of Congress in Poll-Bound Rajasthan

In a fiery speech at a public rally in Jodhpur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led government in poll-bound Rajasthan. The Prime Minister highlighted several key issues plaguing the state and criticized the Congress for what he termed as “Kursi Ka Khel” or the game for the chair, indicating their focus on political power rather than the well-being of Rajasthan.

PM Modi expressed deep concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, pointing to recent riots and a paper leak scandal that have rocked Rajasthan. He emphasized that the unstable law and order scenario has deterred investment and negatively impacted businesses. The Prime Minister accused the Congress government of prioritizing its vote bank over the welfare of the state’s residents, particularly referencing their response to the recent riots in Jodhpur.

The Prime Minister questioned the Congress party’s commitment to appeasement politics and safety for all, citing concerns raised by a Congress MLA regarding safety issues. He also drew attention to alleged corruption documented in the ‘Lal Diary’ and called for transparency and accountability in the government.

Addressing the paper leak scam, PM Modi vowed to take strict actions against those involved, sending a strong message against corruption. Amidst chants of ‘Modi, Modi,’ he assured the gathering of the BJP government’s dedication to developing Rajasthan and highlighted various projects initiated by the Centre worth approximately Rs 5,000 crore.

PM Modi condemned the rise in corruption, riots, and crimes against women and Dalits under the Congress government in Rajasthan. He emphasized the need for a government that prioritizes the safety and well-being of its citizens.

During his visit to Jodhpur, the Prime Minister inaugurated and announced several significant development projects. He flagged off two new train services in Rajasthan: the Runicha Express connecting Jaisalmer to Delhi and a heritage train linking Marwar Junction to Khambli Ghat.

Additionally, PM Modi dedicated two crucial rail projects to the nation, involving the doubling of the 145 km long ‘Degana-Rai Ka Bagh’ rail line and the 58 km long ‘Degana-Kuchaman City rail line.

The array of projects initiated by the Prime Minister includes a 350-bed ‘Trauma Centre and Critical Care Hospital Block at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Jodhpur and seven Critical Care Blocks under Pradhan Mantri – Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) to be developed across Rajasthan.

Furthermore, he laid the foundation stone for the development of the state-of-the-art New Terminal Building at Jodhpur Airport, a project with a total cost of Rs 480 crore. He also dedicated the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur campus to the nation, a state-of-the-art campus built at a cost of more than Rs 1,135 crore.

In efforts to upgrade the infrastructure at the Central University of Rajasthan, the Prime Minister dedicated a ‘central instrumentation laboratory,’ staff quarters, and a ‘yoga & sports sciences building.’ He also laid the foundation stone of the Central Library, a 600-capacity Hostel, and a dining facility for students at the Central University of Rajasthan.

The Prime Minister’s visit also saw the foundation stone being laid for multiple road development projects, amounting to a cumulative cost of about Rs 1,475 crore. The Jodhpur Ring Road, a crucial infrastructure project, is expected to alleviate traffic pressure and reduce vehicular pollution in the city.

As Rajasthan gears up for polls at the end of this year, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is making concerted efforts to challenge and potentially unseat the Congress government in the desert state. PM Modi’s visit and the announcement of these development projects have added momentum to the BJP’s campaign as they seek to address the concerns of Rajasthan’s citizens and offer a vision for a brighter future.
